Lot 2.  1906 Sporting Life Postcard set of all 16 major league teams. Have only seen this set offered once before. Issued by Sporting Life in 1906 and showing all 16 major league teams in Composites that are the same as the Sporting Life W601 prints. The team composites take up the left 2/3 of the card and 1/3 is left for a message, All of major league baseball is represented from 1906 with 31 HOF’ers including Cobb, Wagner, Mathewson, Keeler, Young, Mack, Plank, Lajoie, Rickey, Hanlon, Beckley, etc. As nice a set that could exist. 13 cards are ex-mt to near, postally unused with perfectly clean backs. The Phillies card has a crease in the right corner on the message side, The Boston A.L. card is vg-ex and the New York A.L. card is very good, but carries a rare ad offering the set of either the National or American Leagues for five 2 cent stamps. Minimum Bid $3,000.

Lot 3.  1870 Athletic CDV. A historic baseball relic pre-dating the National Association (1871-5). Several familiar names on this team composite of ten players. In the center is Dickie McBride, who many feel was the greatest pitcher of the National Association. Also pictured is A.J. Reach (at 11 O’Clock), Harry Schaefer (at 5:30). Other players are Count Sensenderfer, George Bechtel, Thomas Berry, Wes Fisler, Tom Pratt, John Radcliff and Fergy Malone. The names are readable and the photos are clear. There is a very light crease below the picture on the right. The photographer was John Gihon of Philadelphia. Excellent for this. Minimum Bid $3,000.

Lot 4.  T216 Mino Cigarette Ty Cobb. One of the three brands in T216. Not quite as difficult as Virginia Extra but far more difficult than the Kotton back. The Cobb Mino offered here may be the only one known, Minimally excellent, with a tiny wrinkle in the lower right and an even smaller one in the lower left. Otherwise, the normal glossy surface, which is very susceptible to creases and cracks is untouched. Well centered and a perfectly clean back. Minimum Bid $3,000.

Lot 5.  PC- unc. Hull Chicago White Sox set of 16. One of the most difficult and graphic postcard sets ever made. Issued in 1907 and featuring White Sox. May be only set known. All the subjects of the set are shown in a circular portrait on a sock hanging on a clothes line. With Manager Comiskey in the lower left portion of each card. Players are pictured at the right hand side of the cards in a full length action pose. The players are Altrock, George Davis*, Donohue, Dougherty*, Hahn, Isbell*, Jones, McFarland, Owens, Patterson, Rohe*, Smith, Sullivan*, L. Tannehill* , Walsh* and White, Seven cards have ads for ther Morrison Hotel and Boston Oyster House (in Chicago) on the rear and these are noted above by an asterisk. The George Davis card is ex-mt and the Walsh is excellent +. The exceedingly rare McFarland is excellent with some minor pencil notation on the rear indicating the collection of Buck Barker. The balance of the set have 8 excellent cards and 5 very good. Minimum Bid $1,500.

Lot 6.  T-200 Fatima Premium Philadelphia Americans. Beautiful photo quality on world Champion Athletic team on 20 3/4" x 13" mount. Manager Mack, HOF pitchers Plank and Bender and the entire $100,000 infield including HOF’ers Eddie Collins, Home Run Baker, McInnis and Jack Barry. A 3" crease in the upper left corner barely touching the photo keeps the premium from being ex+-mt. Minimum Bid $1,250.

Lot 7.  F-unc. Big Eater Lewis. One of the most difficult type cards from the set of 1911 Sacramento players. The card of Jimmy Lewis is excellent-mint. Near perfect centering, nice corners and a clean back. As nice as you’re likely to find. Minimum Bid $750.
