Lot 37.  N172 Old Judge A.C. Anson, Chicagoes. An 1888 card of the Chicago Captain. Magnificent photo quality with some roughness on the back caused from being glued in an album. Tough card to grade but I was proud to have it in my collection for 20 years.

Lot 38.  N172 Old Judge Dan Brouthers, Boston. 1889 card showing Brouthers after the move from Detroit. Extraordinary photo, thin borders as issued. Clean back. Excellent +.

Lot 39.  N172 Old Judge Pete Browning. The original "Louisville Slugger". Beautiful photo quality on this 1888 card. Clean back and cut close at bottom. Excellent.

Lot 40.  N172 Old Judge Charles Comiskey, St. Louis. Great photo showing Comiskey in desired sliding pose. Nicely centered and a clean back. Excellent +.

Lot 41.  N172 Old Judge Hugh Duffy, Chicago. 1888 card of the long time player. One of the few players in both N172 and T206. Nice photo, very well centered and a clean back. Excellent.

Lot 42.  N172 Old Judge James O’Rourke, New York. Beautiful card of the Giant Hall of Famer from the 1887 numbered (0321) series. Catching pose, well centered, clean back, extremely nice photo quality.

Lot 43.  N172 Old Judge Charles Radbourn, Boston. The Hall of Fame pitcher is tagging HOF candidate Bill Nash in this posed Old Judge shot from 1888. Well centered, good photo quality and a clean back. Ex+.

Lot 44.  N172 Old Judge Amos Rusie, Indianapolis. One of the more difficult Old Judge HOF’ers, first issued in 1889 when Rusie was a rookie. Nice photo quality, excellent centering and a clean back. Excellent.

Lot 45.  N172 Old Judge Ed Williamson and Mascot Willie Hahm. Very tough card. Early numbered card. Beautifully centered, excellent contrast. Reverse shows some minor wrinkling and a purple rubber stamp from a previous owner. Excellent +.

Lot 46.  N172 Old Judge Mike Kelly Portrait (Chicago). One of the two toughest Kelly cards. Presumed to be issued at the same time as the Spotted Ties. Chicago shown on uniform before the sale to Boston. Excellent-mt card with great centering, photo quality and a clean back.

Lot 47.  N172 Old Judge Tim Keefe. 1887 Old Judge numbered card of the Giant Hall of Fame pitcher. Near perfect centering and photo quality. Slight wear at the corners and a clean back. Excellent +.

Lot 48.  Excellent group of 3 N172 Old Judge with "$10,000" Kelly. Card of Kelly in well known batting pose (at 45 degrees) has great photo quality, well centered and a clean back. The card of Al Myers, Washington is as nice if not nicer. The third card of Hardy Richardson, then with Detroit is near perfect on the front but has some writing on the rear. All three cards are from the 1887 issue.

Lot 49.  3 N172 Old Judge Hall of Famers- John Ward, John Clarkson and Tim Keefe. The Ward is a tougher pose with excellent photo quality and a light horizontal crease. The Clarkson has a miscut at the top, has a crease and wear. The Keefe has a horizontal crease and has been slightly trimmed. As a group fair to good.

Lot 50.  N172 Old Judge Billy Sunday, Chicago. Extremely popular card of the ballplayer turned evangelist. Numbered (0373) card from 1887 series. Nice photo, centering and a clean back. Very good to excellent condition because of some impressions in background (not visible in photo) which do not detract from the appearance of the card.

Lot 51.  N172 Old Judge Mascot (Willie Breslin). One of the more popular Old Judge cards of the well known New York Giant mascot. Nicely centered, good photo and minor soiling on an otherwise clean back on this 1889 series card.
