Lot 162. Set 61 Eastern Exhibit Babe Ruth Graded 30 Good 2 Rare Color variation. Set 61, which consists of 20 sepia cards issued in 1922 and was produced in Philadelphia. The cards are known for their unique poses and design which showed a simple two line legend at the bottom and the circular CIFS trademark. What makes the offered Ruth interesting and unique is the black and white color. A Set 61 Black and white has never been seen. A check with three other Exhibit collectors substantiated this. To add to the mystery the offered card has a postcard back, which is also very unusual although probably not unique. Graded 2 by SGC the card has no creases and appears much better.
Minimum Bid $500.
