Lot 286.  Eight early Time Magazines with baseball covers, all complete issues. George Sisler (March 30, 1925), John McGraw (June 27, 1927), Rogers Hornsby (July 9, 1928), Jimmy Foxx (July 29, 1929), Wilbert Robinson (Aug. 25, 1930), Joe DiMaggio (July 13, 1936), Mel Ott (July 2, 1945) and Casey Stengel (Oct. 3, 1955). The Robinson, Foxx, McGraw, DiMaggio, Ott and Stengel are excellent or better, the Hornsby and Sisler are vg-ex. The Sisler includes an autograph cut.
Minimum Bid $600.

Lot 287.  Fabulous complete run of 21 Carmichaels Who’s Who in the Major Leagues and the 1933 Who’s Who hardcover with a very rare dust jacket. Includes the very rare combined 1935 edition and all 19 issues from 1935 (both AL and NL) to 1952. The 1933 is in excellent condition. The dust jacket has minor flaws and a small piece missing at the top of the spine near the rear of the book. The dust jacket is protected by a plastic cover. The remaining guides compose as nice a run as I’ve seen. All are paperbacks except for 1948, which is the hardcover edition (with dust jacket). Not a piece of tape in sight. Excellent +.
Minimum Bid $600.
