Lot 233.  An invitation to the Pittsburgh Pirate World's Championship Flag raising on June 30th 1910. Six inch square invitation, neatly matted and framed to eleven inches square, the invitation celebrates their World Series victory after Detroit in 1909. There is a some discoloration in the upper left white portion of the invitation which is a minor distraction.

Lot 234.  Complete Baseball Magazine Who's Who in Baseball run starting in 1912 and all consecutive issues from 1916 to 2003. 89 issues. (There were no issues in 1913-15). The rare first issue in 1912 is in excellent condition despite some light creasing. The second issue is known with 3 different covers. Included here is the more desirable and valuable Ty Cobb cover which is also near excellent despite a light cover crease. The condition of the balance are as follows: 1917 (cover loose, gd), 1918-9 (ex), 1920-Ruth (gd), 1921-Ruth (small strip of tape on spine, vg-ex), 1922 (fair, tape), 1923 (vg),1924-Johnson (fair, tape), 1925 (vg), 1926 (nr mt), 1927 (ex), 1928 (nr mt), 1929 (gd-vg), 1930-9 (8 vg-ex including Gehrig, Foxx, Dean, 2 gd with tape, 1930 & 1932), 1940-9 (5 ex, 4 vg include Feller (tape), DiMaggio, Musial), 1 fair-Williams tape), 1950-9 (3 ex, 6 vg, 1 gd); Balance: Almost all excellent and better.

Lot 235.  Incredible complete run of all 59 Time Magazine's with Baseball or baseball related covers. The collection starts with the March 30, 1925 issue with George Sisler on the cover. (The first issue of Time was March 3, 1923). It continues with 1927 issues with John McGraw and Connie Mack, a 1928 with Hornsby, 1929 issues with Foxx and Wm Wrigley, 1930 with Wilbert Robinson, and all the rest. Gomez, Dean, Cochrane, two DiMaggios, Gehrig & Hubbell, Robinson, Musial and Williams are there and the collection continues to the Yankees in 1998 (2 varieties). There are 61 TIMES in the collection including an extremely rare mini war issue from July 2, 1945 (in addition to the regular one). Condition is remarkable, the earlies average vg-ex with some minor imperfections in the borders or a light vertical crease. The later issues are mostly excellent and better.
