Lot 243.  Extremely rare 1893 Program between Stanford and California, their third game in history. One of the historic rivalries in College Football, the San Francisco Bay opponents first played in 1892 (twice), Stanford winning 14-10 and the second game ending in a 10-10 tie. The program is 36 pages plus covers and has lineups, team pictures and history. It is noteworthy that Stanford was called Leland Stanford Jr. University then, and Leland Stanford died in 1893. The game result was a 6-6 tie. The 7" x 10" program has a thin strip of tape along the spine and a very light 1" crease in the lower right corner, but is still in excellent condition for this 112 year old program.
