Signed limited first edition of this chronological history of baseball from the creation of the game to 1938 with thousands of statistics. "A yearly collection of events, outstanding performances, records, and personal items" (Grobani 27-11). The work is divided into three sections: "From the Foundation of the Game to the Creation of the National League (1839-1876)," "From the Creation of the National League to the Creation of the American League (1876-1900)," and "The Twentieth Century (1900-1938)." Although the number of books in this limited edition is unknown, copies of this work are exceedingly scarce. A near-fine copy.
