 Lot 166. 1948 Bowman Baseball near set of 47 missing #36-Musial with SGC 96 Mint 9's of Feller and Berra. Outstanding high grade set. The Feller and Berra as representaive examples of the set to be graded by SGC and they both came back as SGC 96 Mint 9's. I suspect some of the others in this vintage set would do as well.. Highlights: 3-Kiner (nr mt), 4-Mize (nr mt), 5-Feller (SGC 96 Mint 9), 6-Berra (SGC 96 Mint 9), 7-Reiser (nr mt), 8-Rizzuto (nr mt), 17-Slaughter (ex-mt), 18-Spahn (nr mt), 38-Schoendienst (ex-mt, o/c).  Lot 169. 1952 Bowman near set of 251 missing only 69-Adcock. Very nice looking set which was originally hinged or taped in an album resulting in a discoloration and color or paper loss at the very top of the back of the card either above the name or going slightly into it. (Please see scans). 90% of the cards in the set have the blemish on the back of the cards and would grade at least excellent in most cases otherwise. The stars affected are graded ignoring the blemish although all have it.
