Lot 368. Fourth Ryder Cup Program played in 1933 at Southport. Elaborate 64 page program commemorating this Ryder Cup won by the United Kingdom 6 1/2 - 5 1/2 and tying the series 2-2. It would be the last time the UK would win for 24 years. The rare program is enhanced by the very rare signature of the UK's immortal James Taylor on page 32 next to his full page photo (centerfold), Taylor signed "JH Taylor" clearly in ink. Other signatures are Syd Easterbrook, elegantly in ink by his photo and Arthur Lacey in pencil near his. The book is in very good condition with very slight soiling on the cover. The front cover is partially detached and has been slightly reinforced and the centerfold is loose (easily fixed). An extremely nice early and rare Ryder Cup Program.
Winning Bid $1,250.
