Lot 39. 1889 Bachrach Studio Cabinet of Bart Cantz. Cantz had a brief major league career with the Baltimore Orioles in 1888-9 and the Athletics in 1890. He's acquired some notoriety among collectors as being in the N172 set with the St. Louis Whites of the Western Association as well as the Orioles. Later he was with the Orioles of the Eastern League in the early 1900's. The standard cabinet is in excellent condition but shows some soiling. Some identifying pencil writing on the rear.
