Lot 241.  Very rare uncataloged 1914 T330-2 Piedmont Art Stamp Fred Beck, Chicago Federals - only copy known. This unknown Piedmont stamp has been in a collection for years, with the consignor, who was the only person who knew of its existence, always looking for another, which was never found. The stamp takes the same pose of Beck used in the T205. Beck's career started in 1909 and ended in 1915 with the Chicago Feds, for whom he's represented here. The stamp has all its perforations and the writing is all there on the back. There is either some toning or staining on the stamp and is centered to the left.

Lot 242.  B18 Blanket group of 24 including Cobb (vg), 2 Johnson (vg-ex, vg), Wheat (ex-mt), Chance (gd) and 2 St. Louis NL (gd-vg). Balance average excellent.

Lot 243.  18 B18 Blankets including Jackson & Cobb. Highlights: Jackson (purple bases, ex+), Cobb (ex, but some unraveling on right side), Stengel (ex-mt), Carey (purple bases, ex-mt), Chance (ex-mt), Wheat (ex-mt), Gibson (purple bases, ex+); Balance: 11 blankets, excellent or better.

Lot 244.  T3 Turkey Red #99 Walter Johnson, Washington. Highly coveted T3 of Johnson is in very good condition with corner wear, a 1/2 crease and a tiny chip there of the top paper layer at the upper right corner. Also a 1/4 wrinkle on the left side.

Lot 245.  T3 Turkey Red #8 Fred Clarke, Pittsburgh. Very nice card, between very good to very good-excellent.

Lot 246.  Two very nice condition T3 Turkey Reds. Pair includes #41-George Wiltse of the Giants in near excellent condition and #28-Harrry McIntyre of Brooklyn which is the "Brooklyn Now with Chicago" variation and is in very good-excellent condition.

Lot 247.  Five T3 Turkey Reds all with small faults. Includes 30-Mullin, Detroit (pinhole at top, some soiling in border and an ink name written on the back at the top), 77-Ames, New York NL (ad back, two tack holes on lerft border, otherwise very good+), 91-Downey, Cincinnati (pinhole at top, otherwise very good), 92-Dygert, Phila. A'S (1 1/2" tear at left side, otherwise very good) and 117-Schulte, Chicago NL (pinhole at top, some light soiling).

Lot 248.  Three T3 Turkey Reds including Frank Chance. The horizontal card of the Cub Hall of Famer has some creasing but has a nice appearance and is in good condition. The other two T3's are 118-Smith, Chicago & Boston with an ad back and is in very good condition and #109-Moran, Chicago & Philadelphia, which is near excellent.

Lot 249.  Four T3 Turkey Reds. Includes 14-Dooin, Phil. NL (vertical light crease, good but near excellent appearance), 41-Wiltse, New York NL (very good), 49-A Close Play at Second (light horizontal crease, very good appearance) and 84-Browne, Wash. & Chicago (two brown sports at top border, otherwise excellent).

Lot 250.  45 T202 Hassan Triple Folders. A nice group in mixed condition, Many HOF'ers including Cobb, Matty, Young, Johnson, Speaker, etc. Highlights: Ty Cobb Steals Third/Cobb/Jennings (vg, two tiny spots of paper loss), Devlin Gets His Man/Devlin (NY)/Mathewson (gd-vg), Birmingham Gets to Third/Johnson/Street (gd-vg), Knight Catches A Runner/Johnson/Knight (gd-vg), A Close Play.../Wallace (ex), Catching Him Napping/ Bresnahan (gd-vg), Chase Dives Into Third/Clarke (gd-vg), Chief Bender Waiting../Bender (vg), Close At The Plate/Walsh (vg), Evers Makes A Safe Slide/Evers (good), Evers Makes A Safe Slide/Evers/Chance (gd-vg), Just Before The Battle/Bresnahan/McGraw (fr-gd), Lobert Almost Caught/Young (fr-gd), Speaker/Rounding Third/Speaker/Wood (gd-vg). Lot 251.  Two rare T206 printing errors. One of Ritchey, Boston showing the red trim missing from his hat and collar missing. In addition the normal red belt is yellow. The card is good and a normal card is included showing the differences. In addition a card of Jap Barbeau is missing the red striping on his hat and sleeve, and the red color of his collar and belt. The card, with an American Beauty back is very good.

Lot 252.  T206 White Bordered Christy Mathewson with white cap. Full sized + card from the tough 150 Series. Well centered and a Piedmont back. Fresh and clean appearance.

Lot 253.  Group of 8 T206's including 3 Southern Leaguers. A very nice appearing group, all with Piedmont 350 backs. All excellent or better, include 3 Southern Leaguers (White, Westlake & Rockenfeld), 1 Hall of Famer (Bresnahan, batting) and Arndt, Malarkey, Lavender and Hall. All cards measure correctly.
Winning Bid $1,391.


Lot 254.  Group of 75 T206's in mostly excellent or excellent+ condition. Almost all commons except for Crawford (funny cut at bottom but measures correctly), Gandil (excellent, but tiny spot of paper loss on back) and one Southern Leaguer White (funny cut at top, but measures correctly. There are several tougher 150 series and 350-460 series cards. 10 cards have a small ink mark on the rear and 3 have a small pencil mark. Two cards have tiny sports of paper loss. Overall an excellent group.
Winning Bid $4,189.


Lot 255.  31 different 1910 T212 Obaks, all 175 Series. Five cards are about excellent, 13 cards have some minor back damage and the balance average good-very good.
