Lot 52. M116 Sporting Life rarity, Ambrose McConnell, Chicago A.L. SGC 60 EX 5. One of M116's two well known major rarities and a beautiful copy. Sporting Life was not inclined to reissue cards when players were traded. When McConnell was traded to Chicago after the 1910 season, a second card was issued with his new team and very few copies are known.
Winning Bid $28,204.

Lot 53. M116 Sporting Life rarity George McQuillan, Cincinnati PSA VG 3. The other of M116's two well known major rarities. Similarly to the McConnell, Sporting Life reissued a card for a traded player. When McQuillan was traded to Cincinnati after the 1910 season a second card was issued with his new team. The card shows no creases with some very light wear at the corners and seems a higher grade was in order. Nonetheless it's a very acceptable example of a very rare card.
Winning Bid $3,141.

Lot 54. M116 Sporting Life Ty Cobb PSA VG-EX 4. Some wear at the corners on this excellent card. Well centered front, slight off-center on the clean rear. A high quality card.
Winning Bid $1,610.

Lot 61. M116 Sporting Life Tris Speaker PSA NM 7. One of the few Hall of Famers from the rare series. Card is beautifully centered and near perfect. There is a cut in the glass holder, however this could easily be fixed by PSA.
Winning Bid $3,456.
