Lot 312.  Magnificent 1903 Life Association Hanging Calendar Edinburgh with Print from First International Golf Match at Hoylake in 1902. The entire piece, measuring 22 1/4” x 17 ¾”, has a 16” x 10” print portion in the middle. The print shows all 20 members of the British and Scottish teams. A numbered key identifying all the participants is included. Harold Hilton is shown just to the left of the golfer addressing the ball (Robert Maxwell). Many familiar names to anyone familiar with turn of the century golf. In Excellent + condition.

Lot 313.  1901 Complete high grade set of 6 Ogdens Guinea Gold rare Numbered Series. Not to be confused with the larger and much more common unnumbered Guinea Gold golf card, the numbered set of 6 are not often seen. Numbered sequentially from 475-480 the offered set has been graded by SGC. The card of Braid has been graded 1 because of glue remains along the perimeter of the back. The front of the card fits in with the others. The set includes: 475-J. H. Taylor 80 EX/NM 6, 476 Harry Vardon SGC 60 EX 5, 477-J. Ball Jr. SGC 50 VG/EX 4,478 H.H. Hilton SGC 60 EX 5, 479-J. Braid SGC 10 POOR 1,480-J. Graham Jr SGC 84 NM 7.

Lot 314.  T227 Sports Champions two golfers. Very difficult and sought after cards of Jack McDermott(1911 U.S. Open Champion) and Harold Hilton, famous winner of several Amateur Championships in the U.S. and the U.K. Both cards are graded SGC 30 GOOD 2 and could easily pass for very good.

Lot 315.  R328 U.S. Caramel #3 Bobby Jones SGC 50 VG/EX 4. The rarest and most desirable Bobby Jones card issued two years after his retirement. An excellent appearing card in every respect.

Lot 316.  R328 U.S. Caramel #9 Gene Sarazen SGC 50 VG/EX 4. The second golfer in the U.S.Caramel set. Like Jones, Sarazen is an excellent appearing card in every respect.

Lot 317.  R338 Goudey Sport Kings group of the 3 golfers, all SGC graded. Includes #8-Walter Hagan (SGC 70 EX 5.5), #38-Bobby Jones (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), #45-Didrickson (SGC 50 VG/EX 4).

Lot 318.  Autographed 1947 Walker Cup Program at St. Andrew signed by Francis Ouimet and 11 members of the American and British teams on the days pairings sheet. It was the first Walker Cup match since 1938 because of the war. The U.S. won 8-4. Signatures are highlighted by U.S. Coach Francis Ouimet and team members Dick Chapman, Frank Stranahan, Fred Kammer, Willie Turnesa and Bud Ward of the American Team. Charles Stowe, R.J. White, Joe Carr, P.B. Lucas and Cecil Ewing signed from the British team. The program is in immaculate condition and includes a pairing sheet for the following day.

Lot 319.  Bobby Jones Autographed post Card accompanying “Golf is My Game” with three COA’s. Jones responds to an admirer on a postcard who inquired about sending a copy of his book to autograph. His typed reply is “Dear Mrs. Heath, Of course, you may send the book, but I should prefer to sign it personally to the individual who buys it. Perhaps you might rather wait until after the auction and send it then. Sincerely, Robert T. Jones, Jr. P.S. Please send the book to my office, 4th Floor, Haas-Howell Building, Atlanta 3, Georgia.” The post card has Mrs. Heath’s name and address pre-printed at the top of the postcard and the postcard was obviously attached to the inside cover of the book at one time. It is postmarked, Atlanta, April 12, 1961. The book is not signed. There are COA’s from February 2001 from a Ron Oser auction from Jim Spence of PSA and 2 from April 2003 by Mike Guiterrez and GAI and also by PSA and Jim Spence again, where the signature was graded a “9”.
