Lot 284.  C55 selection of 7 cards from the very rare 1911 set. Included are 5-Oatman (near excellent), 6-Dunderdale (excellent), 10-Kerr (excellent), 11-Walsh (excellent appearance two tiny spots of paper loss on rear), 24-Sprague Cleghorn (excellent +), 25-Odie Cleghorn (excellent) and 42-Newsy LaLonde (excellent front, minor soiling and spot of paper loss on rear).

Lot 285.  V128-1 Paulins partial set of 51 (of 70). Missing are 5-6, 15, 21-2, 26, 28, 36, 38-9, 47-8, 54, 58, 63, 66-8, 70. Extremely rare issue. When sets were completed, they could be turned in for prizes, 26 of the cards in this group have cancellations on the back in a light green ink. Some of these are very light. It appears they might be for redeemed cards. These cards have been dropped a grade in the following. Highlights: 30-Stanley (gd), 35-Cook (gd), 37-Headley (gd), 41-Simpson (ex), 62-Dutton (vg-ex), 69-Oliver (vg-ex); Balance: 6 cards excellent, 18 cards very good, 19 cards good, 2 cards fair.

Lot 286.  1923-4 V145-1 Wm. Paterson near set of 36, missing 4 cards (5, 7, 10 and the nearly impossible 25). Two key cards are SGC graded. The key Joliet card was rejected for grading for being rebacked. The card is definitely thicker than it should be and we would guess it was glued to something at one time however, it has an excellent appearance. A very nice set with almost all cards excellent and some better. Only one card with a crease (corner) noted. Highlights: 3-Clancy (ex front, some pen writing on back), 14-Joliet (ex, rebacked), 15-Morenz (SGC 40 VG 3), 19-Vezina (SGC 80 EX/NM 6). Balance: 19 cards excellent or better, 5 cards very good, 4 cards good.

Lot 287.  V357 World Wide Gum Ice Kings partial set of 53, missing 19 with five key cards SGC graded. The missing are 1, 5, 15, 27, 49, 51, 54, 57, 59-62, 64, 66-67, 69-72. Ice Kings come with both an English back and a split English-French back. 44 cards in this group have the split language back and 9 are in English only. Highlights: 3-Joliet (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), 10-Day (nr mt), 12-Stewart (SGC 60 EX 5), 13-Clancy (SGC 40 VG 3), 22-Bailey (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), 36-Morenz (SGC 50 VG/EX 4), 40-Primeau (vg-ex), 65-Weiland (vg); Balance: 4 cards near mint, 10 cards ex-mt, 16 cards excellent, 6 cards vg-ex, 6 cards very good, 3 cards good.

Lot 288.  1953-4 Parkhurst set of 100 with five cards SGC graded. Beautiful high grade set with nearly 50% near mint or better and over 75% ex-mt. The graded cards all appear to be under graded unless aging of the very poor paper which was used to print the cards was taken into account. Lot 289.  1963-4 Parkhurst set of 99 with the key Gordie Howe and Maniago cards high graded. A spectacular set with virtually every card near mint and better. Highlights: 9-Shack (nr mt-mt), 16-Horton (nr mt-mt), 33-Ferguson (nr mt-mt), 42-Faulkner (nr mt-mt), 55-Howe (SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5), 75-Keon (nr mt-mt), 76-Horton (nr mt), 92-Ferguson (nr mt-mt), 99-Maniago (SGC 80 EX/NM 6); Balance: Almost all of the cards appear to be near mint and better.

Balance: 170 cards are ex-mt or near mint, the rest are very good.

Lot 291.  Huge group of 5,661 hockey cards from 1969-1979. Includes the following Topps cards: 1969-70 – (240 cards), 1970-71 (90 cards), 1971-72 (115 cards), 1972-3 (330), 1973-4 (150 cards), 1974-75 (835 cards), 1975-6 (876 cards), 1976-77 (610 cards), 1977-78 (1100 cards), 1977 Topps Glossy inserts (161 cards), 1978-79 (525 cards), 1978 Topps Glossy inserts (69) cards. O-Pee-Chee cards: 1976-7 (170 cards), 1977-78 (396 card set). Condition ranges from very good to mint and gets better chronologically. It is appears to be an unpicked group as there are an appropriate number of stars and superstars. It would be well worth examining if possible.
