Lot 370.  Magnificent 1900 Life Association Hanging Calendar of British Amateur of 1901. The entire piece, measuring 22“ X 18“, has a 16“ x 10“ print portion in the middle. The print shows all 21 members of the British and Scottish teams. A numbered key identifying all the participant is included. Defending Champion Harold Hilton is the golfer addressing the ball. Many familiar names to anyone familiar with turn of the century golf including Horace Hutchinson, John Low, John Laidlaw, Robert Maxwell, Leslie Balfour-Melville and John Graham. In Excellent + condition.

Lot 371.  Bobby Jones (Flickers) Golf Flip Movie set including the more difficult C.J. H. Tolley. Fibe Flicker Books. A complete set of the three Bobby Jones “thumb movies”, including a 4th variation and the fourth movie in the set featuring Tolley. The 3 Jones movies are 11a “Drive and Mashie” (excellent), 11b “Brassie and Iron”, 2 copies with different covers (very good and vg-excellent) “Brassie & Iron Shots” and 11c “Out The Rough and Putt” (good, wear on the cover and spine missing. The difficult Tolley No. 12 “Drive and Iron” (excellent+).

Lot 372.  1932 Sportoscope (Flickers) Flip Movie set of 6. Beautiful condition set of 6 with each book showing one of 3 golfers instructing on a phase of the game. 1928 U.S. Open winner Johnny Farrell instructing on “The Grip”, “The Drive” and “The Putt”; Leo Diegel on “The Approach” and “The Niblick” and Tommy Armour on the “Long Iron”. Each book is 3” x 2 1/4”.

Lot 373.  Flip A Books (Flickers) Flip Movie set of 3 in a box. Three decent sized books (4 1/2” x 3”), each showing the swing of Billy Casper, Gary Player, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Julius Boros and Doug Ford. In very good condition in a slip case. The pages are loose in one book.

Lot 374.  1939 PGA Advertising sheet and two signed contracts for the tournament. The advertising piece is a 14” x 22” orange sheet promoting the coming PGA Championship at Pomonok Country Club in Flushing, N.Y., which was obviously selected for the proximity of the nearby 1939 World’s Fair. The neatly arranged sheet which has been folded twice, shows a picture of the club, gives the dates, mentioned the defending champion Paul Runyan, the dates, fees and directions to the course. Accompanying the ad are two contracts between the PGA and the Pomonok Club signed by officers of each entity. The contracts give the details as to payments, fees, etc. and are 5 and 6 pages. Also included is a fact sheet for the tournament.

Lot 375.  Circa 1958 Dick Mayer Large Chesterfield Ad framed. 22” x 21” display showing Mayer, who just had won the U.S. Open lighting up a Chesterfield with a colorful golf background. In excellent condition.
