Lot 348.  Rare National Series “Famous Golfers” color postcard featuring 13 listed golfers. One of the most famous early postcards and very rare. The golfers, which include Vardon, Braid, Taylor, Massey, Duncan, Herd, Kirkaldy, Sayers and Fernie are numbered on the card and keyed to the list on the right side. The card is unused and in excellent condition.

Lot 349.  Complete Set of 12 circa 1920’s St. Andrews “Bromotype” Postcards by Valentine. A complete set of beautifully made post cards all showing scenes at the various holes at St. Andrews. Several show professional golfers of the period. All the cards except one (mailed in 1927) are unused and in ex-mt to near mint condition. Two have a small pencil notation “HB” on the rear. Rare opportunity to buy a complete set.

Lot 350.  Bobby Jones postcard for the grand opening of the Shenvalee Resort in New Market Virginia. The post card has a September 1, 1930 date at the bottom, which was shortly after Jones’ completion of the Grand Slam. The postcard is unused and in excellent condition. The Resort is still in existence.

Lot 351.  Complete Set of 12 turn of the century “Chick” postcards produced by North American Rubber Co. with rare mailing envelope. Extremely popular advertising set with comic golf scenes in color by the artist Elcock. All cards have the North American Rubber Co. symbolic chick, to advertise the “Chick” golf ball, in one of the lower corners. All the cards are unused in excellent or better condition. Two have a minor pencil notation on the rear. The envelope is in fair condition and is postmarked 1913.
