Lot 124.  3 2006 Alex Gordon cards SGC graded. Most know the story of this card. Topps intended this card #297 to be part of their 2006 regular set. Since Gordon had not a played a major league game, the issuance of the card was contrary to the players agreement and it was pulled. It is believed that somewhere between 750-1,500 were released, a remarkably low number for a card in a set that heavily collected. If Gordon ever reaches the potential that was expected of him, the price should rise even more than it already has. One card is graded SGC 96 MINT 9 and two are SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5. Winning Bid $666.
