Lot 47.  1916 W-unc Hans Lobert, Cincinnati Reds. Though this card measures correctly, the cards shows no borders on either the right or left side. I believe it was issued this way. The pose is probably unique. The card has creasing and the back is clean except for minor soiling. (Lots 45 to 48 appear to be from a different issue based on size, style and subject.) Winning Bid $722.

Lot 48.  1916 W-Unc. Phil. Ath. Winners Am L. Pen. I don’t believe this pose has ever been seen on a baseball card, although it is known on a Police Gazette supplement. The composite picture shows the A’s Championship team with Mack, Plank, Baker, Collins, Bender, etc. all present. There is some paper loss in the lower left corner, a small nick in the upper right corner and a crease in two other corners. (Lots 45 to 48 appear to be from a different issue based on size, style and subject.) Winning Bid $1,060.
