Lot 314.  1913 World Series Rain Check from the first game at the Polo Grounds. Chief Bender went 9 to defeat the Giants and start the Athletics towards their championship. The ticket has an excellent appearance but has some paper remains on the rear.
Winning Bid $545.

Lot 315.  1914 World Series Rain Check from the first game at Shibe Park. A memorable and controversial series where Boston’s Miracle Braves swept the A’s in four games and there was suspicion the A’s were not giving "maximum effort". Dick Rudolph defeated Chief Bender 7-1. The ticket is excellent with some glue remains on the otherwise blank back.
Winning Bid $862.

Lot 316.  1915 World Series Rain Check from the final game at the Baker Bowl. The Red Sox defeated the Phils in five behind Harry Hooper’s two Home Runs. Winning Bid $1,476.

Lot 317.  1916 World Series Rain Check from the first game at Braves Field. The Braves won the game behind Ernie Shore (Babe Ruth would pitch and win Game 2) and went on the win the series in five over Brooklyn. The date and game result is neatly noted on the rear.
Winning Bid $1,624.

Lot 318.  1917 World Series Rain Check from Game 3 at the Polo Grounds. The game was a pitching duel, Ed Cicotte of Chicago besting the Giant’s Rube Benton, however the Sox won the Series in 6. The stub is in near excellent condition with a clean back.
Winning Bid $949.

Lot 319.  1918 World Series Game 1 (Babe Ruth) Stub from Comiskey Park. One of the rarest stubs because of the war and other factors. The Cubs played in Comiskey that year to take advantage of the larger seating capacity. This ticket is a Babe Ruth collectible as he pitched the Sox to a 1-0 victory in Game 1 in a series the Sox would win 4 games to 2. The ticket shows considerable wear but is highly desirable.
Winning Bid $2,070.

Lot 320.  1919 "Black Sox" World Series Press Pass to Redland Field in Cincinnati. The Reds "won" in 8 games, 5-3 in the infamous series where White Sox players allegedly took bribes to throw the series. In excellent condition the pass was issued to James Whiteford, whose signature is on the pass.
Winning Bid $3,723.

Lot 321.  1920 World Series Rain Check from Game 6 at League Park in Cleveland. The Indians prevailed in 7 games, winning 5. Game 6 was a 1-0 thriller with Duster Mails topping Sherry Smith of Brooklyn. The ticket is a large stub in excellent condition.

Lot 322.  1921 and 1923 World Series ticket stubs from the Polo Grounds. 1921 Game 5 stub which the Yankees won behind Waite Hoyt but lost the series in 8 games. 1923 Game 1 Stub from the first game ever at Yankee Stadium which the Giants beat the Yankees 5-4 but lost the series in 6 games, 4 games to 2. The 1921 stub has a vertical crease and is otherwise in excellent condition and the 1923 stub has some staining.
Winning Bid $1,685.

Lot 323.  1922 World Series stub and 2 from 1926, all from Yankee Stadium. 1922 was a sweep for the Giants in a five game series (Game 2 ended in a tie). The excellent stub (light corner crease) is from Game 4. The two stubs, from Games 6 and 7 from 1926, highlighted the Cardinals come from behind victory against the Yankees. Grover Cleveland Alexander won Game 6 and "saved" Game 7. Babe Ruth homered in Game 7. Both stubs have an ex-mt appearance but have spots of paper loss on the rear.
Winning Bid $2,040.

Lot 324.  1924 World Series Full ticket sleeve for Games 1, 2 and 6 from Griffith Stadium. Most unusual ticket printing in Series history for the games in Washington. Winning Bid $1,391.

Lot 325.  1925 Game 2 stub and 1927 Game 1 stub from World Series Games at Forbes Field. The 1925 stub, where the Senators, in their second consecutive Series, lost in 7, is in excellent condition. The 1927 stub (Yankees sweep in 4), has some minor album remains on the back.
