Lot 232.  1947-1966 near Exhibit complete set ++. In all, a total of 444 cards including the set of 336 plus 108 various listed and unlisted variations. Many cards, with exception of the rare 1966 issue have the alleged year of issue very lightly written in pencil on the rear in the upper left. These cards are designated by a (*) in the highlights that follow. I would expect that these are easily erasable. Some of the cards in the 1966 series have “1966” written in pen in the upper left and these are noted by a (mk) after the grade. Thus, while a large percentage of the cards appear near mint, in fact they are not (except for the 1966 issue). The grades that follows will indicate “mk” after the grade on the cards that have the year on the rear (the grade is without consideration of the mark). Highlights: Aaron (ex+-mt, writing on back), Banks, bat on (2 nr mt*, 1 ex-mt w. writing), Larry Berra (nr mt*), 2 Brandt (nr mt*), Casey (ex*), Chandler (ex-mt*), Clemente (nr mt*), Colavito-Port. (nr mt*), Cunningham-Btg. (nr mt*), Cunningham-Port. (nr mt*), Ford-Port. (nr mt, mk)), Hutchinson (nr mt*), Jensen (nr mt*), Killebrew-Port. (nr mt*), Koufax (nr mt*), Kranepool (nr mt, mk), Mantle-pinstripes (nr mt*), Mantle-no white (nr mt*), Mantle-Portrait (nr mt, mk), Mantle-white (nr mt*), 2 Mays-btg (nr mt, nr mt*), 2 Mays-Port.
