Lot 381.  Collection of 185 K4 Arbuckle Coffee cards. Includes cards from 7 different issues as follows: Sports and Pastimes of all Nations (30 of 50), Animals (17 of 50), Countries of the world (24 of 100), Cooking (6 of 50), Pictorial History of U.S. and Territories (48 of 50), States and Territories (33 of 50) and Trip Around the World (27 of 50); Condition average very good-excellent with better and worse.

Lot 382.  E2 Lauer & Suter Navy Candy Naval Officers set of 24. Very rare, attractive set. All cards are very good or better. A very similar set went in last year’s auction for $722.

Lot 383.  N78 Duke History of Generals set of 50. Very tough and highly desired set of 50 pamphlets. 25 booklets are excellent or better including Grant and Lee, 5 have a small numeral written on the front cover, the balance are mostly very good. All are complete.

Lot 384.  N87 Duke Shadows set of 50. Mixed condition but a nice appearing set with 13 cards excellent. 20 cards have some back damage.

Lot 385.  N91 Duke Yacht Colors complete set of 50. Mixed condition set with 26 cards excellent or better with the balance having a very good appearance, but 9 cards have back damage, and some others with aging on the rear.

Lot 386.  T51 College Series set of 150. Set showing various sports and 150 American colleges. Very popular cards in set include 2 basketball, 7 golf, 2 football and 7 baseball. Condition varies but Overall a very good-excellent set with over 90% very good-excellent. 4 cards have back damage.

Lot 387.  5 “T” card sets and one near set. The group includes sets of T58 Fish set of 100 (vg); T59 Flags of all Nations complete set of 200 (vg); T113 Types of Nations set of 50 (about vg); Two T42 Birds sets of 50 (one white border (ex+), one gold border (vg); The near set is T30 Arctic Scenes with 23 of 25 cards (mostly vg-ex+). Five very nice sets and one near set with 473 cards.

Lot 388.  T99 Sights and Scenes of the World. Beautiful 50 card set by Pan Handle Scrap and Royal Bengel with gold leaf borders showing the world’s wonders. We had a near mint set in our 2010 auction which went for $2,514 and a similar, but lesser set went for $1,100 in our 2011 auction. Offered here is the remainder of 100 cards, which includes 42 different in quantities from 1 to 9 cards each. About 60% of the cards are excellent or better. The 8 missing subjects are El Capitan , Erechtheum at Athens, The Great Sphinx, Library of Congress, The Metropolitan Building, NY, The Partheon, the Temple of Salt Lake City and the Washington Monument. Each card is in a plastic sleeve and a top loader. A spreadsheet of the 50 cards and their quantities is available on request.

Lot 389.  Circa 1930 Amos & Andy Exhibit near set of 14 (of 16), missing #1 and #15. Also includes 9 color variations, a total of 23 cards. Freeman Gosden and Charles Correll’s (card #3) beloved radio show which became a top TV show of the fifties. A very rare set with 17 cards excellent or ex-mt and the balance very good.

Lot 390.  1927 W451 Charles Lindbergh Exhibit complete set of 16. Rare offering of the yellow and brown tinted 16 card set showing the American Hero who flew from New York to Paris. Photos show Lindbergh with President Hoover, Mayor Walker, Secretary Hoover, with his famous plane “The Spirit of St. Louis” and one with his mother. Condition breakdown: 12 cards are near mint, 4 cards are ex-mt. Beautiful set from the Anonymolus Company with postcard backs. NOTE: This is not the set that is described and pictured in the PDF. That set was in last year's auction and was an Exhibit Co. set.

Lot 391.  1928 W454 Benito Mussolini Exhibit set of 16. One of the rarest of all the non-sport Exhibit sets. This is the first time I’ve seen a set offered at auction. There are 11 vertical cards and 5 horizontal cards of the Italian dictator showing him in and out of military dress. The cards all have a violet tint (as issued) and are excellent+ to near mint.

Lot 392.  W-unc. Interstate News History set of 120. An uncataloged non-sport set issued in 1926 by the Interstate News Co. The 120 card set was issued in four boxes, each with 30 “History Cards” in each. The offered set includes all 120 numbered cards, each measuring 3 1/2½” 4 1/2”. The set averages excellent condition.

Lot 393.  Balance of 1929 John Dockman Star Candy Group of 32 complete packets of candy or gum with a 1929 Dockman Star Candy Card and the original sales display box. Includes 17- Col. Charles A. Lindbergh (4), 18-Bellanco Monoplane “Rosemarie” (13), 22-Com. Richard E. Byrd (7), 23-Army Flyers Hop Off, (8). Some of the packages have started to open and some gum balls have been lost. We sold seven different in each of our last two auctions and these are the only other ones known. The cards all appear that they would grade excellent or better, but its impossible to be sure without opening the packs and removing the candy. The original Dockman display box is included and is poor condition.

Lot 394.  1930 Fleer “Whiz-Bang” Gum Group of 9 cards. From the recent find of a box of these previously unknown cards. The box consisted of 83 cards from what was an apparent set of 16. Included in the set were 3 different baseball cards and 13 non sports cards. Offered here are nine of the non sports cards as follows: Gary Cooper, Buck Jones, Ken Maynard, Chief Thunderbird, Wallace McDonald,. Jack Oakie, Ted Wells, Warner Baxter and George O’Brien. The group is near mint. Each card has two tiny factory punched slits which it is suspected would propel the cards. Included is a pack of “Whiz Bang” Gum and 9 strings that apparently would go through the two tiny slits.

Lot 395.  R69 Horrors of War near set of 238 cards missing 2 cards (277 and 286). Above average set with over 90% of the cards very good or better and 65% excellent and better. Highlights: 1-Marco Polo Br (vg), 240-The frightful.... (vg), 283-Hitler Threatens (excellent front, minor paste remains on back), 284-Germany’s Amazing ...(ex) and 288-Surrender.... (ex front, small paper loss on rear at side); Balance of cards: 65 cards ex-mt, 95 cards excellent, 108 cards very good, 15 cards fair-good; A breakdown of the grading by each series of 24 is available on request. One card (an extra #121) has the rare “You’re lucky ...” slogan overprinted on the back. 26 cards have a stained corner (a few have two stained corners) on the rear from a mount and 17 cards have a rubber stamp on the rear indicating “SEP 26 1939“, which may be a factory stamp. These cards have been downgraded one grade.
