Lot 214.  2 M101-1 Sporting News Supplements of Frank Chance and Bill Lange. Blll Lange is arguably, the best player not in baseball’s Hall Of Fame. His career was cut short after seven years (1893-1899), according to legend, because his wife-to be wouldn’t marry him unless he stopped playing baseball. He compiled a lifetime .330 batting average. Chance started his career is 1898 and the M101-1 is considered his “rookie” card. Both supplements have a couple of faults including some tape remains on the back but average very good +.
