Lot 60.  1948 U.S. Open Ticket at Riviera Country Club. The large (6 1/4" x 2 1/4") ticket has a heavy crease in the middle. The back of the ticket has a promotional message for golf. Ben Hogan wins the first of 4 U.S. Opens in 6 years, topping Jimmy Demaret by two strokes.

Lot 61.  Incredible run of 32 British Open badges from 1969 to 2001 missing only 1994. A wide variety of badges (and some tickets) are in the collection including Guest, Royal and Ancient Members, Press and Staff. 26 of the badges are in ex-mt condition. All but four of the badges still have the original string. Badges represent both of Nicklaus’ British Open victories, both Trevino’s wins, all 5 Tom Watson’s (in a span of nine years), 3 from Seve Ballesterous, 2 from Nick Faldo and of course Tiger Woods in 2001. Considering the difficulty of vintage British Open Badges, especially in this country, a collection like this would take years to put together. Our web page shows the entire group.
Minimum Bid $750.

Lot 62.  1989 and 1990 British Open Contestant Badges. There’s no way of knowing who wore these but they were worn by Players in the 1989 and 1990 British Opens. Calcavecchia won in 1989 at Troon and Nick Faldo won in 1990 at St. Andrews. The two badges are near mint.
Minimum Bid $300.
