  3 Lots

Lot 253.  World’s Champion 1904-1905 New York Giants Team Cabinet. A near mint crystal clear image of a 6" square photo on a 7 3/4" x 10" black mount. The cabinet celebrates two incredible seasons by the Giants in which they ran away with pennants with 106 and 105 victory seasons and won the World Series in 1905 (there was none in 1904). The team had four future Hall of Famers (Mathewson, McGinnity, Bresnahan and Manager McGraw), 3 20 Game winners (Mathewson who won 31, McGinnity and Ames). Mathewson had, arguably the best World Series ever, pitching 3 shutouts. Also pictured among the players and the mascot are "Dummy" Taylor, Bill Dahlen and Mike Donlin. There is a 2" crease in the lower corner of the mount, which is difficult to see.
Minimum Bid $750.
