Lot 273. 2 Real photo postcards representing baseball in Seattle in 1911. The first shows the Seattle team of the Northwest League probably from 1911. The postmark is 1912 and players are identified on the bottom as follows; Paris (trainer), Wally, Dolin, McIver, Barry (Mgr), Moe, Janes, Thompson, Stevens, Weed, Chick, Cruickshank, Mann and McMullen. The photographer is the Seattle Photographic Co. The card was apparently sent by the player Stevens to his mother with a note in his hand and signed R.S. The second card is of Art Bues, the North West League batting champ in 1911. Bues in shown posing in his Seattle uniform with a nice stadium background. Card was mailed by Bues in 1911 with a note signed “Art”. Excellent + on both cards.
