Lot 95. W-unc. Detroit Team set set of 23. Postcard sized, this is an unheralded difficult set. It features the A.L. Champs Tigers from 1934. The set features Hank Greenberg, Charlie Gehringer, Mickey Cochrane, Goose Goslin, etc. In 1988, in an article in “The old Judge” the idea of a 23 card set was speculated on, and the possibility of a 24th card was considered. To date, to the best of my knowledge a 24th card has never been found. An extremely rare set. Almost all are ex-mt or better including the 4 HOF’ers.
