Lot 291.  Sporting Life Advertising Envelope with Cobb image, postmarked 1909. Blue tinted and probably carried one of Sporting Life’s several promotional pieces such as a trade card or their Schedule books. Of interest is a photo of Ty Cobb, which is noted to be the “unique” photo used on E271 Darby Chocolates. Excellent.

Lot 292.  Graphic 1914 scorecard Fan with the 16 managers of Major League Baseball. Fan shows a generic scorecard with the 16 managers of the 16 clubs with head shot photos and drawn bodies symbolizing the team’s nicknames. The managers include McGraw, Mack, Lajoie, Huggins, Jennings, Griffith, Tinker, Chance and Evers. The rear of the fan advertises a restaurant. Excellent.

Lot 293.  “Team Captain’s Fan” with all 16 major league team captains along the perimeter, a scorecard along the sides, all surrounding a pretty girl in the center. The sepia fan is in excellent+ condition with a tiny, not noticeable 1/2” crease at the top of the upper right. Players include Lajoie, Davis, Chase, Girffith, Dahlen, Chance, Clark and Bresnahan. An ad for a barber shop is on the back.

Lot 294.  Two circa 1915 writing tablets with baseball covers highlighted by Babe Ruth. The tablets measure slightly less than 8” x 10”. The Ruth cover shows Babe pitching for the Red Sox. Inset at the bottom are Slim Sallee, Eddie Cicotte and Eddie Collins. The second tablet highlights Roger Peckinpaugh with Christy Mathewson, Grover Alexander and Hank Gowdy inset. Both are excellent.

Lot 295.  4 baseball Card games in their original boxes, all ex+-mt to near mint. 1. 1909 American National Game Base Ball. Rare Generic game. 2. 1913 Parker Bros. National American Baseball Game with 50 cards picturing Nap Lajoie. 3. 1938 Whitman Big League Baseball. 4. Aydelot’s Baseball Card game.

Lot 296.  Stirling Silver Punch Bowl presented to Clem Labine for his participation in the 1956 All-Star Game at Washington. The Bowl was made by International Silversmith with antique grape design. Inscribed “All Star Game Washington, D.C. July 10, 1956 National league 7 American League 3 CLEM LABINE”. Bowl is 13” in diameter at the top and stands 8 3/4” high. Sold to Collector Scott Forst by Labine and has been in his possession since. Excellent.
