Lot 24. Six 1879 Buffalo graphic cabinets. A never before offered set of 6 cabinets featuring drawing and commentary centered around the Buffalo Team of 1879. All cards show the symbolic Buffalo and make punful reference to game events naming Buffalo players and other players in the league. e.g. The Buffalos will be re-WARDed tomorrow”. Two cards show the Buffalo lineup which included star pitcher and HOF’er James “Pud” Galvin. Other prominent players, who are referred to are Davy Force and Manager Bill McGunnigle, Dave Eggler, etc. Five cards are near mint and one is excellent.
