All Star and World Series Tickets

  4 Lots

Lot 47.  1915 World Series ticket for Game 2. Full stub in very good-excellent condition for a historic series. It was the first series for Babe Ruth, a rookie for the Red Sox that year. While Ruth did not get to pitch in the series easily won by the Red Sox 4-1, he did get a pinch hitting appearance in Game 1, the only game the Red Sox lost, and grounded out. Game 2 was also notable as it was the first World Series game a President, in this case Woodrow Wilson, attended. The game was played at Philadelphia’s Baker Bowl and Philadelphia won the first of 4 straight 2-1.
Minimum Bid $1,000.

Lot 48.  1933 All Star Game at Chicago Full ticket. Very rare full ticket for the first All Star game won by the American League. Its only the second such ticket we’ve seen offered in the last ten years. Ticket is gd-vg with a vertical crease and a small piece of tape on the back.
Minimum Bid $1,500.

Lot 49.  1935 All Star Game at Cleveland Full ticket. Beautiful near mint ticket for the third All-Star game.
Minimum Bid $1,000.

Lot 50.  1941 Game 4 World Series Yankee-Dodger Full ticket. One of the most historic games in baseball history. The Dodgers were about to tie the 1941 Series at 2 games when with 2 out in the 9th inning Hugh Casey appeared to strike out Tommy Henrich for the final out. Dodger catcher Mickey Owen missed the strike and the Yankees went out to win the game and the Series. The ticket has “VOID” punched in the ticket, otherwise is in ex-mt condition.
Minimum Bid $250.
