Lot 54.  E99 and E100 Bishop & Co. Beautiful excellent E99 of Lindsay, Vernon and what appears to be an equally nice E100 of Roy Hitt, Vernon. The latter has a couple of tiny spots of paper loss on the rear.

Lot 55.  T216 Virginia Extra paper variety Frank Chance. The toughest of the T216 backs. Cards shows some paper loss in Chance’s name and some biting in the right and upper borders, o/w very good. The back is clean.

Lot 56.  T217 Mono Ivan Howard, L.A. One of PCL’s rarest sets. Nice card, some specks at hands, and cut close at bottom. Back is clean. Vg-ex.

Lot 57.  T217 Mono Chad Chadbourne, Portland. One of PCL’s rarest sets. Exceptional copy. Well centered, clean back and only some wear at the corners. Excellent.

Lot 58.  Western Playground Miller, vg-ex. Interesting variation. Card is of thinner stock, and there’s an ink skip at the bottom of the card.

Lot 60.  1911 Big Eater Fuller Thompson. Extremely rare issue featuring Sacramento Solons. Unusually nice condition card. No creases, a clean blank back and slight rounding of the corners. Excellent. +.

Lot 61.  M-Uncatalogued Sporting News card of Ray Schalk, circa 1917. Extremely rare type card virtually unknown in the hobby. The offered card, which measures 4” x 2 1/4”, was discovered and written about in an old (pre-Krause) issue of SCD by collector Dick Reuss. One collector indicated he had some of the cards but wasn’t willing to make them known. Collector, writer and statistician Bill Weiss sent a copy of a 1917 Sporting News ad advertising a card set that matched this description. It apparently was never produced. The card is well centered and in excellent condition with a clean blank back.

Lot 62.  Extremely rare Anonymous Company four in one Exhibit. Very rare card from a set for which a checklist isn’t even known. The Anonymous company took poses from their Set 82 baseball Exhibits and their corresponding boxing set. This card shows Ty Cobb and Joe Judge from the baseball series and boxers Eugene Criqui and Dave Shade. The card is very good.
Minimum Bid $750.


Lot 63.  Extremely rare Anonymous Company four in one Exhibit. The second known four in one from the Anonymous Company and is completely baseball. It take poses from their 16 card Set 83 set. Four cards are known and that may be all there are. The offered card depicts Lefty O’Doul, Dazzy Vance, Al Shire and Hugh Critz and is in excellent condition.

Lot 64.  Uncataloged and very rare circa 1915-20 4-in-1 card. Blank backed card shows Zach Wheat and Tris Speaker on the right side. Very good.
