Lot 237.  Near 19th Century set of Lundin’s Condensed Juniper-Ale of 46 cards, missing three. Extremely rare and innovative set showing the Columbian Exposition of 1893, held in Chicago. The 46 2” x 3 1/8” cards depict black ink drawings of Chicago views. Ten of the cards carry red print advertising for Lundin products. The innovation of the set lies on the reverses which form a puzzle which when complete forms a beautiful 14” x 22” color map of the Columbia Exposition. We have provided a scan of the view the back gives (less the 3 missing cards) on our web page. The cards average excellent and we didn’t notice a crease.

Lot 238.  N220 Kinney Harlequin set of 53. Cross collectible with playing card collectors and tobacco card collectors. Very popular set with images designed within the four playing card suits and a joker or title card.

Lot 239.  PC218-1 1909 Hudson Fulton Exposition postcard set of 72 by Redfield Brothers. Magnificent numbered set depicting floats used in the parade. In plastic pages. Excellent-mint.

Lot 240.  T7 Type 4 Hamilton King partial set of 14 cards, 1 T7 Hamilton King Girl Type 1 and an N566-2 large Newsboy. The Type 4’s are Numbered from 37 to 61 and are in excellent and better condition. The Type 1 is #11 and is excellent and the Newsboy is #7 Dorothy Denning and is in ex-mt condition. 16 cards.

Lot 243.  Three sets 1939-40 sets from H.J. Heinz featuring Aviators and airplaces. The F277-1 Heinz Famous Airplanes set is complete at 25 cards (ex-mt). There are 3 different (of 25) from the scarce premium F277-2 Airplanes set of 25 (mint) and the near complete F277-4 Famous Aviators is missing only #7 from the set of 25 and includes the desirable Charles Lindbergh card. (ex-mt).

Lot 244.  An amazing collection of 341 different 1930s movie and radio star matchcovers ( all the designations are from Frank Nagy's checklists). The collection includes First Night Life, 24 complete, NBC Stars, 20 different (of 24), CBS Stars, complete setoff 20, First Movies, type 2, 16 diff., First Movies, type 3, 51 diff., including Ginger Rogers variation. Second Movies, type 1, 31 diff., Second Movies, type 2, 15 diff. (of 16), Second Movies, type 3, 49 diff., Second Movies, type 4, 4 diff., Second Movies, type 5, 52 diff., including Janet Gaynor variation, Second Movies, type 6, 60 diff., including Sigrid Gurie variation. Condition is extraordinary with all having strikers intact and the overwhelming majority in excellent condition. The names are a whos who of the Entertainment industry of that era.

Lot 245.  Cowboy and Cowgirl Exhibit sets. Two 32 card sets issued in the ‘40’s. The blue tinted Cowgirls include 2 Jane Russells, 2 Dale Evans, Judy Canova, Betty Hutton, 2 Yvonne DeCarlo, etc. The cowboy set, which is issued in different colors features, Bill Boyd, John Wayne, Roy Rogers, 2 Gene Autrys, Buck Jones, Tex Ritter, etc. Both sets are near mint.

Lot 246.  1948 Bowman movie stars complete set of 36. Nice ex-mt set with many near mint. Includes Roy Rogers, Sonja Henie, etc.

Lot 247.  1955 Who-Z-At Star set of 80 and 1957 Hit Stars set of 88. Both Topps sets in near mint condition without regard to centering.

Lot 248.  1956 Topps Hocus Focus album with slots filled with 60 cards. (3 wrestlers, 16 track stars, 17 dogs, 22 movie stars, 1 race horse, 1 bowler). There are an additional 35 cards composed of 5 World Leaders, 5 Westerners, 7 World Leaders, 3 Movie Stars, 5 Airplanes, 5 Sports Thrills and 5 Sports Cars. The album and the 95 cards average excellent.

Lot 249.  Three Robin Hood Sets including two very rare sets. First is the 1957 Topps set of 60 in near mint condition. A beautiful set of 12 Cupcake cards featuring color drawing and including the tabs which were supposed to be cut away. 10 are excellent +, 2 are very good. Finally a set of 20 cards issued by Johnson and Johnson apparently with band-aids. These cards appear to have been issued with a removable perforated tab and without. One card in the group has the tab and another had the tab removed. The balance are complete and almost all are in excellent condition including the one with the tab. The later two sets are extremely rare.

Lot 250.  Fleer Pirates Bold, 66 complete plus 15 of 21 very scarce flag stickers. The 1961 Pirates set is ex-mt with many of the cards near mint. The stickers, which are very scarce, are near mint, except for three which have a light crease.

Lot 251.  Cars lot of 220 cards from 6 different issues. 1. 1961 Topps Sports Cards set of 66 including 1 gray back (#39) plus 3 additional gray back duplicates (excellent +); 2. Premiere/Oak Manufacturing Co. Antique Autos, 36 different, ex-mt; 3. D72 Mother's Cookies Sports Cars set of 42 (1, #26 with Hood Ice Cream back), plus 7 extra cards with Hood backs. The basic set is near mint, except for 2 cards which are vg, the Hood backs are excellent; 4. D94-5 Tip Top Sports Cars (very tough), 2 different, ex-mt ; 5. F281-5 Skinner's Raisin Bran Sports Cars, near set of 8 (of 10), ex+-mt; 6. UO5 1953 Signal Oil Antique Autos, 56 different (of 63), almost all ex-mt, most near mint;
