Extremely rare 1926 Chicago Bull-NY Yankee program with Red Grange.

Lot 223. Extremely rare 1926 Chicago Bull-NY Yankee program with Red Grange. The October 17th game featured the Chicago Bulls and the New York Yankees of the short lived American League Of Professional Football Clubs, The one year league was started in 1926 by Charles Pyle who was trying to get a New York Club in the NFL. When he couldn't, he started his own league and secured the services of Grange for the New York Yankee team. In 1927 the only team that survived from the League was Grange and the Yankees, who were incorporated in the NFL. Grange was back with the Bears in 1928. The program was 32 pages and nicely done. Photos of many players were on individual pages with bios including Eddie Anderson of Notre Dame and Joe Sternaman of Illinois. There is a full page ad for a coming game with the Yankees with a picture of Grange. The centerfold roster page includes an ad for Shotwell's Red Grange Candy Bar. Centerfold is loose. Very good.
