1891 Boston Photograph with Old timers scorecard.
Lot 20. 1891 Boston Photograph with Old timers scorecard. At first appearance a cabinet, measuring 4 1/4" x 6 5/8", the card has a high quality real photograph on thinner stock than a cabinet and carries what appears to be half a scorecard (there was no other half) with a pre-printed list of Boston old timers. (Kelly, Clarkson, Leonard, Sutton, ,etc). The photograph, by famed Boston photographer G. Waldon Smith, shows a composite of the 1891 Boston team including Kelly, Clarkson, Nichols, Stovey, Lowe, Bennett, Manager Selee and 7 other well known players. That team won the pennant in the N.L. in 1891. A beautiful item.
