Lot 77. 1937 Dixie Lid Black and White 2 1/4" size complete set of 24. One of the two Dixie Lid sets before the 1950's that featured athletes. In 1937 four baseball players, Gabby Hartnett (ex), Joe Medwick (ex+). Carl Hubbell (ex+) and Charlie Gehringer (ex+), one tennis star, Bill Tilden (ex+) and an Champion Olympic diver, Georgia Coleman (ex). The movie stars include Bill Boyd (Hopalong Cassidy), Gene Autry, Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Myrna Loy. All the lids have the tab and are at least excellent.
