This 1932 6 1/2 x 7 3/4 inch Associated Press photo shows Yankees Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig flanking minor league slugger Russell "Buzz" Arlett, voted in 1984 as the outstanding player in minor league history by the Society for American Baseball Research. Arlett is shown in a Baltimore Orioles uniform. He led the American Association with 54 home runs that season, including four in a game twice. Photo measures 6 1/2 x 7 3/4, minor creasing visible on front from library file mark on reverse, Excellent.
