Lot 124.  Famous first Cooperstown Induction Photo & 8 addition "Old-timers photos. Historic 6 1/2 by 8 1/4 photo of Hall of Fame inductees at first ceremony on June 14, 1939 showing Alexander, Collins, Johnson, Lajoie, Mack, Ruth, Sisler, Speaker, Wagner and Young. Cobb was late and missed photo session. Lot 125.  Commissioners, league Presidents Owners and Umpires. Terrific eclectic group of 21 photos of baseball commissioners (4), league presidents (3), team owners (8), umpires (4) and others (2), 1917 to 1951. Highlights are two photos of Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis, one with nine 1921 Detroit players on opening day; White Sox President Charles Comiskey at the 1924 trial of the suit brought by Happy Felsch and Joe Jackson against the club; Washington owner Calvin Griffin with future President Franklin Delano Roosevelt preparing to raise the flag in center field on opening day 1917; a full length 8 x 10 of umpire Bill Klem and a picture of Branch Rickey smoking one of his favorite cigars; Mostly Excellent; Detailed list of the 21 photos available on request.

Lot 127.  Barney Stein and Don Wingfield Group of nine photos by well known Dodger photographer Barney Stein and Don Wingfield. The Brooklyn photos are well known portraits of Peewee Reese, Carl Erskine, Johnny Podres and a magnificent photo of Carl Furillo climbing the famous right field wall in Ebbets Field, all are 7 1/4 x 9 1/4. The Wingfield photos are Lou Boudreau, Ray Schalk, Gus Bell, Art Houtteman and Maury Wills, all 8 x10. Lot 128.  Jim Rowe Postcards and Photo collection of 284 different. Jim Rowe postcards and photos. Rowe sold B&W postcards and blank-backed postcard-sized photos made from negatives he purchased from fellow Chicago photographer George Burke. Nearly all the postcards (190) and postcard-sized photos (94) are from late 1920s through the 1940s. Most are excellent or better. Collection of 154 postcards and 12 postcard-sized photos plus seven 5x7 photos of mostly major league baseball players, almost all Ex or better. Highlights are Eight B&W postcards showing sports celebrities in or near airline planes, Leo Durocher with his movie star wife, Laraine Day (2), Sandy Koufax, Casey Stengel; boxer Joe Louis, tennis stars Bobby Riggs with Jack Kramer, Olympic champs Jesse Owens, Bob Mathias. Lot 130.  Babe Ruth Photos and Odds and ends and 2 unusal baseball related photos of Womens baseball league from the '40's and a Japanese team touring the U.S. in 1936. Group of Ruth four photos and two drawings, all Excellent. Pictures show Ruth portrait on 4x6 card with career stats on back (possibly issued at his death), a portrait wearing a cap, a two-view newspaper photo showing him in 1947 in uniform and just prior to his death and a photo of his widow dedicating Ruth memorial near Gehrig and Huggins plaques in Yankee Stadium's center field. Unusual drawings show color Ruth portrait and montage of newspaper headlines about his career and Ruth with Wagner, Grove, Sisler and Keeler in the B&W "Rondine Baseball Hall of Fame" on heavy board; Also an All-American Girls League managers sit with players: Max Carey, Marty McManus, Claude Jonnard, Bert Niehoff, Jack Kloza, Johnny Gottselig, players Mary Lou Lester, Ann Hartnett, Annabelle Lee (all AAGL uniforms),. 9 x 7, Excellent, 1944. And a photo of the Tokyo Giants arriving at San Francisco for U. S. tour (all players including white Russian pitcher Victor Starfin identified), 8.5" x 6.5", Excellent, 1936.

Lot 131.  Spring Training Photos. Unique group of 23 photos shows players from the New York Highlanders 1906 (8), Chicago Cubs 1909 (12) & St. Louis Browns 1920s (3) in full length poses. All but three New York and Chicago are 3 1/3 x 5 3/4 inches. The rest are about one inch shorter. Browns are 5 x 7 inches. Group includes Clark Griffith (NY), Mordecai Brown (Chi) and George Sisler (StL); Excellent.
