Lot 197.  Uncataloged and Very rare Fergusons Bakery Premium Pennant Grover Cleveland Alexander. One of the rarest of all types and one we've never had the pleasure of owning or offering. Only 5 are listed in the latest Standard Catalog and Alexander is not one of them. Issued in 1916 along with the more "common" Ferguson issue (BF2), the large felt measures 23" long and includes a 3" x 5" photo of Alexander pitching in his Phillie uniform. The felt shows some minor soiling but is still in excellent condition. The premiums were offered on redemption of 50 tickets accumulated from loaves of bread. It has been beautifully mounted in a specially made wooden triangular frame. The pennant has been removed from the frame for the photo.
Winning Bid $6,275.
