Lot 152.  The Game of Baseball, 1888. A spinner game, featuring a 19th Century bat with rings and a diamond shaped home plate on the attractive color cover. Manufactured by Singer & Co., the box measures 5" x 5" and contains the spinner, the playing board and five "runners". In excellent condition.

Lot 153.  Three Vintage baseball card games. 1. 1884 Lawson's Playing Card game in original box (top flap loose) and instruction. Excellent. 2. 1904 Fan Craze Playing Card game in original box, playing instructions, playing board and Fan Craze deck of cards. Excellent. 3.1912 Olsen's Base Ball Game in original box and slipcase. Instructions and playing field. Unlisted in Cooper's Book of Baseball Games. Excellent-Mint.

Lot 154.  WG2 National League Fan Craze set of 54 with original box. Nice above average set of this very popular and difficult issue. Highlights: Beckley (vg-ex), Bresnahan (ex), Brown (vg-ex), Chance (vg-ex), Clarke (ex-mt), Duffy (ex+), Hanlon (nr mt), Huggins (ex), Kelley (nr mt), McGinnity (ex), McGraw (nr mt), Nichols (vg-ex), Taylor (vg-ex), Wagner (ex), Willis (vg-ex). Balance: All cards are excellent or very-good to excellent showing some wear but no creases. The Fan Craze box and playing board are in good condition.

Lot 155.  WG3 American League Fan Craze set of 51 plus a title card and the original box. As nice a set as you could hope to find. Comes from original Fan Craze box (ex+), instructions, game board, a scoring sheet and an original envelope with a naïl (peg) for the game board. Highlights: Bender, Chesbro, Collins, Crawford, Flick, Griffith, Ban Johnson, Joss, Keeler, Lajoie, Mack, Plank, Waddell, Wallace and Young, all are near mint an better and should receive 7's to 9's from an established grading service. The Young shows a light spot of toning on the left edge. Balance: All are near mint or better.

Lot 156.  WG4 Polo Grounds set of 30 cards. Includes Cobb, Jackson, Mathewson, Wagner, Speaker Lajoie, etc. All cards show some wear but are otherwise excellent. The Jackson has a corner crease.

Lot 157.  WG5 National Game Card Game set of 52 plus scorecard, instruction card and original box. Near perfect set with all cards but one near mint and better. Highlights: Jackson (nr mt), Cobb (nr mt), Wagner (nr mt), Mathewson (nr mt), Johnson (nr mt), Young (nr mt) Balance: All cards are near mint or better except Connie Mack, which has a crease. The box is missing part of a side flap, otherwise is all there.

Lot 158.  WG6 Tom Barker Set of 52. The cards show some wear but most are excellent. A few have corner creases including the Jackson. The Joe Wood card has writing at the bottom. Highlights: Cobb (ex), Jackson (gd-vg), Johnson (ex), Mathewson (ex), Wagner (vg), Young (ex).

Lot 159.  WG7 Walter Mails Card Game set of 56 plus Directions card. The most unusual baseball card game set created by a former ballplayer, Walter Mails, who is a subject in the set. The 1924 set combines 11 PCL players, 4 other minor leaguers with 41 major league stars and is among the rarer of the baseball card sets with players. Only the WG1 set and the ER Williams set exceeds the rarity of the Mails Game set. The condition is uniformly good-very good. Every card has a light horizontal crease in the same place, slightly below the half way point of the card. Highlights of the set include Bancroft, Johnson, Maranville, Rice, Sewell and Sisler.

Lot 160.  WG8 S & S Card Game set of 52. Near Mint with the exception of five cards which have a light corner crease (Traynor, Vaughan, Ott, Vosmik and Radcliff).
