Lot 363. Two circa 1920 Golf Autograph books dozens of autographs highlighted by Bobby Jones. The books were compiled at St. Andrews by a schoolteacher who lived nearby. Thousands of dollars of autographs. The smaller book (3 3/4" x 2 3/4") contains Jones, who signed "Robt. T Jones Jr. 16/6/24" on the same page as Gene Sarazen who signed "Gene Sarazen American Champion 1923". Other signatures in the smaller book are Tomas Gunto (Arentine Champion), Willie Hunter, Ted Bishop, William Tulloch, Joe Turnesa, Willie Turnesa, Tommy Armour, Joe Kirkwood, Francis Oiumet, Arnold Palmer. JW Taylor, Cyril Tolley, Tony Manero, Bernard Darwin, MacDonald Smith and others. The larger book (6 1/2" x 5 1/4") contains JH Taylor (again), another Joe Kirkwood, Wild Bill Mehlin, Percy Allis, Jack Smith, Jas Braid, RA Whitcombe, Armand Massey signed "A. Massy your Champion Hoylake 1907", Arthur Havers, Cyril Tolley (again), C.A. Whitcombe and many more. Includes COA's from both GAI and PSA/DNA authenticated by Mike Gutierrez, James Spence and Steve Grad.
