The following 35 lots consist of a complete set of M116 Sporting Life including the 216 base cards, 72 rare series, the 12 black back printed Series 3 variations, the 24 blue backgrounds from Series 1 and 2 and the two major McConnell and McQuillan variations.

Lot 52.  M116 Sporting Life rarity, Ambrose McConnell, Chicago A.L. SGC 60 EX 5. One of M116's two well known major rarities and a beautiful copy. Sporting Life was not inclined to reissue cards when players were traded. When McConnell was traded to Chicago after the 1910 season, a second card was issued with his new team and very few copies are known.
Winning Bid $28,204.

Lot 53.  M116 Sporting Life rarity George McQuillan, Cincinnati PSA VG 3. The other of M116's two well known major rarities. Similarly to the McConnell, Sporting Life reissued a card for a traded player. When McQuillan was traded to Cincinnati after the 1910 season a second card was issued with his new team. The card shows no creases with some very light wear at the corners and seems a higher grade was in order. Nonetheless it's a very acceptable example of a very rare card.
Winning Bid $3,141.

Lot 54.  M116 Sporting Life Ty Cobb PSA VG-EX 4. Some wear at the corners on this excellent card. Well centered front, slight off-center on the clean rear. A high quality card.
Winning Bid $1,610.

Lot 55.  M116 Sporting Life Ty Cobb PSA Blue Background EX-MT 6. A beautifully centered and clean card. Tiny touches of wear at the top corners account for the grade not being at least a 7.
Winning Bid $5,185.

Lot 56.  M116 Sporting Life Honus Wagner PSA EX 5. Beautifully centered and touches of wear at each corner kept the grade to a 5.
Winning Bid $4,052.

Lot 57.  M116 Sporting Life Honus Wagner Blue Background PSA NM 7 (MK). Beautiful card, Honus never looked better. The mark (MK) is a tiny "x" on the back of the card in the upper left corner of the card.
Winning Bid $8,983.

Lot 58.  M116 Sporting Life Christy Mathewson PSA EX-MT 6. A tiny speck of wear at two corners keeps this from a higher grade. Beautifully centered and a perfect back.
Winning Bid $2,285.

Lot 59.  M116 Sporting Life Christy Mathewson Blue Background PSA EX-MT 6. A perfect twin to the above. Well centered with a touch of wear at a couple of corners.
Winning Bid $3,683.

Lot 60.  M116 Sporting Life Walter Johnson PSA NM 7. Near perfect, a touch of wear along the top border probably kept this from an 8 or higher.
Winning Bid $4,608.

Lot 61.  M116 Sporting Life Tris Speaker PSA NM 7. One of the few Hall of Famers from the rare series. Card is beautifully centered and near perfect. There is a cut in the glass holder, however this could easily be fixed by PSA.
Winning Bid $3,456.

Lot 62.  M116 Sporting Life Cy Young Blue Back PSA EX-MT 6. The tougher of the two Cy Young Variations in Series 3. Beautiful card marred only by a tiny spot of wear in the lower left corner.
Winning Bid $2,359.

Lot 63.  M116 Sporting Life Cy Young Black Back PSA EX-MT 6. One of the Series 3 cards which came with either black print or the much more difficult blue print on the back. This is the easier black print. Extremely nice card.
Winning Bid $2,077.

Lot 64.  M116 Sporting Life Nap Lajoie PSA EX-MT 6. Beautiful card marred only by a tiny spot of wear in the lower left corner.
Winning Bid $1,302.

Lot 65.  M116 Sporting Life Nap Lajoie Blue Background PSA NM 7. Almost perfect. One slight touch at the upper left corner.
Winning Bid $2,855.

Lot 66.  M116 Sporting Life Hugh Jennings PSA NM 8. Just about perfect.
Winning Bid $1,577.
