Spalding's Athletic Library group of 3 Basketball and 4 Football books (1913-1935). Collection of seven books includes 1924 How to Play Basketball and 1931-32 and 1934-35 Women's Basketball Guides (each with tough to find complete How to Play charts); 1913 and 1916 editions of How to Play Football and 1926 and 1927 scarce Interscholastic Football Guides. All are Excellent or better although the 1934-35 Women's Basketball Guide has a small stain on front cover. 7 Boxing Spalding Athletic Library. The 1892 "Gentleman Jim" Corbett biography -- Book #1 from Spalding's Athletic Library -- is in good condition with cover tape. Four editions of Boxing (1902 Ex, 1927 Ex-Mt and two different 1929s Vg-Ex and Ex with faded cover), are loaded with photos of champions, (Dempsey, Sharkey, Delaney, Loughran, Walker, Leonard, Canzonari, Braddock, Schmeiling, Rosenbloom, Kid Chocolate, and others). There are two editions of "How to Punch the Bag" 1912 (Vg, spine damage, folded) and 1928 (Ex). Seven Spalding Athletic Library Wrestling books, 1901-1929. Seven wrestling books highlighted by a 1901 "Catch As Catch Can" instruction book in Good condition with spine damage. Three different "How To Wrestle" editions from 1905 (photos of Hackenschmidt, Jenkins, Bothner), 1929 and 1932 are Near Ex, Vg-Ex and Ex+. A 1929-30 NCAA Guide is Ex-Mint and two "Professional Wrestling" volumes (1916 and 1925) are Ex and contain photos of top grapplers of the day (Gotch, Hackenschmidt, Zbyszko, Stangler Ed Lewis). Six Spalding Athletic Library Golf Books, 1906-1935 -A group of five American books and one hard to find edition published in England. The American editions (all Ex or better) are a 1922 How to Learn Golf, 1928 Golf Guide, and three different versions of How to Play Golf (one is undated, but has a 1925 ad, plus a 1930 and a 1935 by Grand Slam Champion Bobby Jones) The English edition is a 1906 Golf Guide with false spine, covers reattached with tape, otherwise Vg.
