Lot 112. E120 American Caramel near set of 237. The three missing cards are Pie Traynor, Deacon Jones and Frank Bancroft. Beautiful set presented in "card saver" style plastics in 4 pocket black Lighthouse sheets in two quality Lighthouse albums with slipcases. As T206 was the definitive set of the 1910 era and R319 Goudey was the defining set of the thirties, E120 was the defining set of the twenties. There were 120 subjects issued for each league divided equally among the 16 teams. Highlights: Alexander (ex front, back damage), Baker (ex front, back damage), Cob(b) (vg-ex), E. Balance: 84 cards are excellent or better, 104 cards very good, 28 cards fair-good. There are a few cards with some paper loss on the back and there is one card with a rare blank back (Bigbee).
