Lot 114. 1921 Schapira Brothers Babe Ruth Candy Box Design cards SGC graded set of 6. Six different cards of Babe Ruth, measuring approximately 1 3/4" x 2 7/16". Each candy box featured a portrait pose of Babe Ruth, while not common, is the more prevalent card found. The others, which fall in a ratio of 1:5 to the portrait are much rarer. Each has a title as printed on the box. The entire set has been graded by SGC and is the best set known. The portrait pose has not been graded higher than vg-ex and and there is no record of any of the action poses being graded. The cards and grades are Portrait (84 NM 7), Over The Fence (84 NM 7), Waiting For A High One (80 EX/NM 6), Cleared The Bags (70 EX+ 5.5), They Passed Him (70 EX+ 5.5) and Home Rub (60 EX 5).
