D350-1 Standard Biscuit #12-Beals Becker.
Lot 50. D350-1 Standard Biscuit #12-Beals Becker. The connection between the M101-4 and M101-5 Sporting News sets, the D350-1 Standard Biscuit, D329 Weil Baking and other advertisers using these checklists is well known. However there is no explaining the card of Beals Becker, which comes with a normal D350-1 Standard Biscuit back. The #12 in the D350-1 Standard Biscuit set is Zinn Beck, as it is in the Weil Baking and the M101-4 Sporting News. Number 12 in M101-5 is Lute Boone with Zinn Beck appearing as #11. The fact is Beals Becker does not appear in any of these sets. His 8 year career was over in 1915. To the best of my knowledge the offered Becker is the only one known although I've been told there may be another. The card has multiple creases and is fair.
