Lot 19. Hastings Print of the 1888 Boston Baseball Club. 9 3/4” x 7” engraved print. The Hasting studio, along with G. Walden Smith were Boston's two famous baseball photographers. This magnificent photographic engraving shows a game in progress with Boston in the field. The features are so distinct that actual players can actually be identified. John Clarkson is clearly on the mound and Capt. John Morill is at first base. It appears to be Mike Kelly in centerfield. The print is in excellent + condition and the back has some light age spots on an otherwise blank back.
