Lot 248. Terrific authenticated Lot of 11 deceased vintage baseball top quality autographs including Bobby Lowe, Bill Lange, Pat Donovan and Fred Tenney. All the players debuted in the majors between 1890 and 1894. Ten have been authenticated by Jim Spence and encapsulated by SGC. An additional COA for all 11 is included from Mike Guiterrez, from whose auction the lot was originally bought. The eleven autographs are: 1. Bobby Lowe, who hit 4 HR’s in 1 game, on a slightly trimmed GPC. 2. Bill Lange, arguably the best player not in the Hall of Fame (he only played 9 of the 10 required years) on a 3 x 5. 3. Patrick Donovan on blank side of a 3 x 5. 4. Ernest Mohler, well known PCL player, on a blank 3 x 5. 5. Fred Tenney on lined 3 x 5. 6. Joe Sugden on blank 3 x 5. 7. Francis Powers, 1890’s manager, on a cut attached to a 3 x 5. 8. W.J. Bill Clarke on blank side of a 3 x 5. 9. Albert K. Selbach on a GPC, 10. John Hollison on lined 3 x 5. 11. Jess Tannehill, a large cut glued to an index card.
