Lot 249. Interesting group of signed letters and documents highlighted by a deed signed by Bill Lange. The group also includes Players contracts signed by Joe Cronin, Eddie Collins and Horace Stoneham, A letter on Yankee letterhead signed by Paul Krichell and one on Newark BB Club stationary signed by George Weiss. Finally a note of American League Stationary to Charley Finley signed by AL President Cronin. Bill Lange starred 7 years in the 1890’s for the Cubs and gave up his career to marry his love. He was a sure fire Hall of Fame but didn’t qualify for the 10 year requirement. The deed was made out to another Hall of Famer, George Kelly, who was Lange’s nephew.
