Lot 320.  Five rare N284 Buchner Gold Coins cards of Jockeys. Very tough cards include McCarty, McLaughlin, Vial, Fisher and Roe. All are excellent with clean Buchner ad backs.

Lot 321.  1951 Berk Ross set of 72 in pairs. Very nice set in original pairs. Almost all pairs would be near mint except the lower left corner of each has been slightly stubbed and no pairs are graded higher than ex-mt. Highlights: DiMaggio/Hamner (ex-mt), Musial/Hamner (ex-mt), Berra/Spahn (ex+-mt), Ford/Konstanty (ex-mt), Hogan/Hart (ex+-mt), Cousy/Ashburn (ex-mt), Quackenbush/Durnan (ex-mt, o/c) Balance: Almost all ex-mt.

Lot 322.  1952 Wheaties set of 64 featuring 32 athletes. Famous Wheaties set found on the back of their cereal boxes. It featured the athletes of the day including more than a fair share from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where General Mills was based. Each player had two cards, a portrait and an action pose and included Ted Williams, Stan Musial, George Mikan, Ben Hogan, Yogi Berra, Roy Campanella, Bob Feller, Otto Graham, Bob Waterfield and others. Unusually nice condition set with 55 of the 64 cards cut with large blue borders. Four cards have a light crease including Musial which has a ½” wrinkle at the bottom. The other Musial, neatly cut, but no wide border is autographed.

Lot 323.  The First Sports Illustrated and the two preceding Test Proofs. The first test issue, titled appropriately enough, “Dummy” was printed in December of 1953, consisted of 140 pages and contained the wide variety of Sports that SI has become known for. A letter on Time Life Stationery is stapled to the inside front cover explaining the magazine and its goals. The second “Dummy” issue was five months later in April 1954 and shows a golf scene at the Cypress Point golf course. The word “Dummy” is in large block letter at the top of the front cover and it consists of 132 pages. Finally, the first real issue in its original mailing envelope was issued 3 months later on August 16, 1954 with the famous shot of Eddie Mathews batting on the cover. All 3 issues are in ex-mt condition.

Lot 324.  Collection of 59 wrappers from Football, Basketball and Hockey. Highlights include 1953 Bowman, 1954 Bowman 1c and 5c, 1956 Topps, 1957 1c and 5c, 1959 1c, 1960 5c, 1960 Fleer and both 1961 Fleer and 1964 & 1965 Philadelphia from football; 1961-2 Fleer and other Fleer, most Topps from 1969 to 1982 from basketball, and 9 hockey between 1975 and 1988, The collection is in 2 pocket plastic sheets in a 3 ring binder and is in excellent condition.
