Lot 169.  C57 set of 50 from 1912-1913. This set, by an unknown maker, is considered the toughest of the early hockey sets. Condition is unusually nice with 82% excellent and better and is as nice a set as you’re likely to find. Highlights: 1-Vezina (excellent front, minor back damage), 2-Broadbent (ex-mt), 3-Benedict (ex), 15-Cleghorn (ex-mt), 16-Joe Hall (ex), 20-Art Ross (ex), 41-Lester Patrick (ex), 43-Fred Taylor (ex-mt), 44-Newsy Lalonde (vg), 48-Joe Malone (vg). Balance: 27 cards excellent-mint, 7 cards excellent, 5 cards very good, 1 card good.

Lot 170.  Two rare Hockey cards – C144 Champs Cigarettes Adams and C56 Walsh. The 1910-11 C56 of #7 Marty Walsh is vg-ex with slightly rounded coners, no creases and a clean back. The 1924 C144 Champ’s Cigarette of Jock Adams is ex-mt.
