Lot 211. A very rare accordion style panoramic onionskin Supplement from the Illustrated Sporting News dated 1905 featuring ten athletes from 9 sports including Napoleon Lajoie and Jack Chesbro. Each of the attached panels measure 4 3/18 x 7 ¼”and include Hildebrand (jockey), John Flanagan (Field), Holcombe Ward (tennis), H.L. Hillman (track), Lajoie (baseball, C.M. Daniels (swimming), Captain Hogan –Yale (football), Chesbro (baseball), H. Chandler Egan (golf) and Marcus Hurley (bicycling). There are some minor defects as might be expected in a piece as fragile as this, but overall excellent condition. Possibly one of a kind.
